Biography
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ms. Seaton has a legal background in special education and disability-related work. Throughout law school, Ms. Seaton prepared and litigated cases in the Special Education and Juvenile clinic as a student attorney. Additionally, during law school, Ms. Seaton worked as a legal clerk for a preeminent special education law firm in the Washington metropolitan area, as well as a judicial law clerk for Administrative Law Judge John P. Dean.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Seaton was an associate attorney in Maryland and Washington, D.C, where she gained extensive litigation experience in both jurisdictions and worked as corporate counsel to a national bank. Ms. Seaton focuses her practice on family law, special education law, and probate.
Ms. Seaton is uniquely able to utilize her experience and background in special education to assist her family law clients with special needs children. In her free time, she enjoys spending her time with her husband and daughter, cooking, and traveling.
Awards & Recognition
- Named a “Rising Star” in the area of Education Law by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2019 through 2022 for Maryland and the District of Columbia, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in the selected jurisdiction
- In 2020 and 2021, Ms. Seaton was named a top attorney for Education Law in Bethesda Magazine.
