Mr. Prunka joins the firm as an experienced litigator with an extensive background in criminal and juvenile law.
While attending the University of Baltimore School of Law, Mr. Prunka studied with a concentration in criminal practice.
During his tenure in law school, Mr. Prunka gained a wide variety of legal experience. He interned at Dansie & Dansie, LLP in Washington, DC.
He later served as a Rule 16 student prosecutor with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, prosecuting criminal matters in District Court.
Following that, he worked as a clerk for Shadoan, Michael, & Wells LLP.
While there, he gained experience in state and federal civil litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Prunka served as Assistant State’s Attorney for Frederick County. In nearly 11 years, he worked in the District Court, Child Support, and Juvenile divisions.
He prosecuted crimes ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies. Mr. Prunka gained extensive litigation experience, trying nearly two dozen cases before juries. Before leaving the State’s Attorney’s Office, Mr. Prunka prosecuted juvenile, gang, and firearm offenses.
Personally, Mr. Prunka is an avid hockey fan, having played for the better part of 28 years.
He enjoys spending time with his partner, their respective families, travel, golf (he is a lawyer) and barbecuing.
